  Timberdoodle is another name for the American Woodcock (Scolopax Minor). The Woodcock is an Eastern gamebird that has been revered for generations, second only to the Ruffed Grouse. We at Timberdoodle Kennels have chosen this bird as our namesake to bring attention to the plight of this great gamebird. Due to extensive habitat loss over the last 30 years, Timberdoodle populations are plummeting and we want to do our part to save the Timberdoodle.
